For those who are in town on Friday night the 22nd, the town of CB kicks off the summer Fireworks by the Sea and Boardwalk Blast series. Live music starts at the Boardwalk Gazebo Stage around 6:30 PM followed by fireworks at approximately 9:00 PM. It gets very crowded so arrive early if you want to get a seat. You can also bring your own chair. The fireworks are best seen from this area and on the beach as well. There are a couple of rooftop restaurants and bars where you can view them as well.
Tony Silvagni is a local celebrity in our area. He is one of the top longboard surfers in the world. He offers surf lessons and rents out equipment such as surf boards, paddle boards, bikes, umbrellas and chairs.
This is one of our favorite activities on the beach! Rent bikes and go for a nice ride on the Greenway. It is also a nice place to walk. You can park at Mike Chappell Park. In the very early mornings you might see deer and keep a watchful eye out for an alligator who lives in the pond.
The state park is very beautiful. You can walk the trails and look for Venus flytraps! There is a boat launch and kayak rentals. It offers very nice campsites for the outdoor enthusiast.
People come from all over the country to try the famous Britt's Donuts! They only take cash and the line can be very long so come early!
Open daily from 9AM to 5PM. Come visit and enjoy stingrays, eels, sharks, baby sea turtles and the cutest otter family. Reserved tickets are required.
This is a great visit for the history buff. Remains of a vast Confederate fort, with a visitors center featuring displays and artifacts.
This is a great way to spend an hour of your day. It is a scenic ride with views of the Cape Fear River, Old Baldy Lighthouse and potential dolphin sightings. Reservations are not required, but you can purchase tickets online or at the terminal. Always check the schedule. The cost is just $1.00 to walk on, $2.00 for a bicycle and $7.00 if you have a car.

Visit the lake anytime but on Saturday mornings from 8AM to 1PM is the Carolina Beach Market. You can stroll around the lake and browse unique handmade arts and crafts and get some local eats.
